MIL 2,25 EUR FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN METAL, MACHINE AND WOOD INDUSTRY IN B&H

As part of a joint project of the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany – EU4BusinessRecovery – To help entrepreneurs combat the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has issued a public call for expressions of interest in metal, machinery and wood sector. Under the Call, companies will be supported in developing business continuity plans. Following the development of the plans, grants totaling € 2.25 million will be offered to selected beneficiaries for the implementation of the measures identified in the business continuity plans. The amount of possible approved funds per individual company is up to 48,000 euros, and the grant can be used for activities such as the application of industry standards, the use of high energy efficient machines, dual or multiple sourcing strategies, market entry strategy development, digital marketing innovations, etc. The manufacturing industry has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Supply chains are disrupted, businesses are running at reduced capacity and a large number of jobs are at risk. On the other hand, customers in key markets have begun to reorganize their business models and look for suppliers closer to their locations, which represents great potential. For this reason, the European Union and the government of the Federal Republic of Germany will help small and medium-sized enterprises in the metal and wood processing industries to renew supply chains, increase access to major markets and develop sustainable business models. The deadline for submitting applications and submitting accompanying documentation is January 31, 2022, by 4:00 p.m.
