The theme of 2019 Business forum “Connecting economies for stronger growth”, which is held in association with the twenty-eight annual meeting of the Board of governors, take place on 8 and 9 May in Sarajevo.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has a rich and fascinating cultural history: it was long open to both eastern and western European influences and underwent both Byzantine and Ottoman conquests. Today, its strong political, trade and business links – both to the European Union and with other countries in central and south-eastern Europe – make Bosnia and Herzegovina a strategic location for investment opportunities throughout the region. Sarajevo will form the backdrop for informed debate, dialogue and discussion on issues relevant across all of the Bank’s countries of operations.
